Two Master’s degree options are available to holders of a HES-SO Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the School of Health Sciences Fribourg (Heds FR):
The Master of Science in Nursing (MScSI) at the University of Lausanne (UNIL)
The University Master of Science in Advanced Nursing Practice (MScIPS) at UNIL
The MScSI trains Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs), whose role is essential within healthcare teams. APNs contribute to the development of clinical practice, the improvement of the quality and safety of care, and exercise leadership. They also provide care to patients and their families in complex situations.
The MScIPS trains Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) who provide advanced, patient-centred clinical care. Working closely with physicians, APNs provide direct patient care, have extended competencies (e.g. prescribing medication and performing medical procedures), and contribute to the development of clinical practice and the healthcare system.
