Assessing the needs, concerns and symptoms of people with dementia in long-term care facilities.
We assessed the efficacy of person-centred care in improving quality of life for people with dementia in long-term care.
A 15-month study in 23 Swiss long-term care facilities compared person-centered outcome measurements with and without the Person-Profile, a collaborative nurse-led intervention for people with dementia. The primary outcome was quality of life, assessed using the QUALIDEM.
