Symptom perception among persons with heart failure and their informal caregivers: development and feasibility of a complex nursing intervention
This doctoral project in nursing science (PhD in Nursing Science) aimed to develop a complex, evidence-based intervention supporting SYMptom PERception in HEART failure (SYMPERHEART) and test its feasibility, acceptability, and outcome responsiveness among persons with heart failure and their informal caregivers.

The Symptom Navi programme, accessible via www.symptomnavi.ch, supports patients and informal caregivers to better manage the effects of cancer disease and its treatments. Digital tools such as websites and applications are playing an increasingly important role in supporting self-management. However, little research has been carried out into how they are used and how well they meet users' needs.
PAPA
From knowledge to action
PrActice Science PArtnership in Swiss Long-Term Care Facilities (PAPA). University hospitals play a leading role in the implementation of new knowledge in the acute care sector. With the PAPA project, the LORE research group enables long-term care facilities to take on this leadership role which is similar to that of university hospitals. The LORE research group supports long-term care facilities in applying knowledge and thereby developing nursing care. The PAPA project takes place under the motto “From knowledge to action” and is empowered by Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) who bridge research and practice as clinical nursing experts (APN-CH).
